The Government of Malaysia, officially the Federal Government of Malaysia (Malay: Kerajaan Persekutuan Malaysia), based in the Federal Territory of Putrajaya with the exception of the legislative branch which is based in Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia is a federation of 11 states of Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, Sarawak and 3 Federal Territories operating within a constitutional monarchy under the Westminster system and is categorised as a representative democracy, though the Yang di-Pertuan Agong could declare a state of absolute monarchy with the consultation of the Conference of Rulers, the Federal Court and the Parliament (if it isn't dissolved by then) under Article 112 of the Federal Constitution of Malaysia.
